This house is on 3 levels.  The basement is completely below ground but fully accessible from the adjacent street.  We conceived of the house as a linear narrative of rooms, and folded the layout  twice to enclose an interior garden, where a full skylight brings the sun into the centre of the house.  Thus the entrance core became the focal point around which the circulation of the house flowed.
